SAN JUAN — Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show has fueled more anticipation in his native Puerto Rico than the game itself.
There are watch parties organized across the island. Some have dubbed it “Super Bori Sunday,” a shortened nod to “Boricua,” which refers to someone with Puerto Rican ancestry. A viral social media post hypes it as “The Benito Bowl: Morcilla, Sancocho, Mofongo, Reggaetón and a little bit of Football.”
One woman noted on social media that she would be watching with her 87-year-old mother in Puerto Rico so they could dance together during halftime, while another person posted that they had even prepared a PowerPoint presentation for their American friends dubbed, “Bad Bunny 101.”
