MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — Bungee cords are often linked to extreme sports, and aerial silks are usually reserved for gymnasts and acrobats. But one South Florida studio is combining both for a workout that promises to challenge the body and mind.
RF Studios, located in the heart of Miami Beach, offers a mix of high-energy workouts that include bungee fitness and aerial training. The luxury fitness space also features red light body contouring and meditation classes.
Owner and CEO Roya Siroospour, who opened the studio last year after years in the fitness industry, says the goal is to make the workout accessible.
“Our ideal client is really anyone, because what I love is we can put anybody inside the bungee or in the fabric, anywhere from someone like my mother, to somebody who has physical limitations,” she said.
Local 10’s Alexis Frazier joined one of Siroospour’s classes and described the experience as intense but fun.
Siroospour said the combination workout can offer major benefits.
“It’s going to take the pressure off of your joints,” she said. “Also, I love because it drains your lymphatic system. So the next day, you’re going to feel like you took the trash out of your body. And you’re going to feel like you had a blast the whole time.”
Beyond fitness, RF Studios also emphasizes wellness.
“Say there’s somebody that doesn’t really like to move their body, they can do our meditation where you’re literally just laying inside a hammock,” Siroospour said. “We are attracting people who want to have fun, want to go inward, want to let go of everything outside of the door, and also tap into their inner child while working on their fitness and wellness.”
Frazier said the program is already drawing fitness enthusiasts from around the world.
RF Studios remains the only studio in Miami Beach offering this combination of bungee and aerial workouts, with a wide range of group and private sessions available.
