4 restaurants with a MICHELIN star serve Miami Spice menus

Ariete Ariete in Coconut Grove is among the restaurants with a Michelin star that are participating in Miami Spice this year.

MIAMI — Four restaurants with a coveted MICHELIN star are participating in Miami Spice from August to September.

Three have dinner menus: Ariete in Coconut Grove, Stubborn Seed in South Beach, and Le Jardinier in the Design District.

Le Jardinier and Cote, also in the Design District, both have Miami Spice lunch options.

The prix-fixe menus don’t include beverages, taxes, or gratuity, and are available at specific times of the week.

A REAL LOCAL

Hialeah-born Chef Michael Beltran‘s Ariete has a Miami Spice $60 dinner option Monday to Sunday

The MICHELIN Guide reported the Ariete team’s high-quality cooking “weaves together new American and classic French influences to dazzling effect” at 3540 Main Highway.

To reflect this, the restaurant has a three-course menu with three options for the appetizer, three options for the entree, and two for dessert.

Ariete’s options for appetizers are Seasonal Crudo with baja kampachi, tropical fruit aguachile, and Jimmy Nardello pepper relish; The Farmer with seasonal vegetables with goat cheese espuma and caramelized pepita praline; and Venison Tartare with fermented tomato mostarda, chipotle cured egg yolks, and sourdough.

Ariete’s options for entrees are Boniato Gnocchi with duck confit and calabaza; Pork Belly, porcelet with black eyes peas, tamal en cazuela, and salsa verde; and Wahoo with mofongo, blue crab, and ají dulce beurre blanc.

Ariete’s options for dessert are Flan with candy cap mushroom, sambuca crema, and coffee crumble; and Seasonal Sorbet with chamomile and olive oil.

FROM THE FARM

Chef Jeremy Ford’s Stubborn Seed, which also has a MICHELIN green star for its organic five-acre farm in Redland, has a $60 dinner menu every day except on Friday and Saturday.

The MICHELIN Guide reported the menu weaves “in Latin and Asian influences in a manner that is both bold and busy.”

The Miami Spice menu allows for combinations of two options for appetizers, entrees, and desserts.

THE RESTAURANT CHAINS

Chef Alain Verzeroli-designed Le Jardinier Miami is serving a Miami Spice $35 lunch menu and $60 dinner menu from Tuesday to Sunday.

The MICHELIN Guide described it as “a celebration of the seasons” and described its menu as “a study of vibrant tastes and smart compositions that pack big flavor minus the heaviness.”

The Miami Spice’s menus include two appetizers, three entrees, and the same two dessert options for lunch and dinner.

Seoul-born restaurateur Simon Kim’s COTE is serving a Miami Spice $35 lunch option from Monday to Friday.

The MICHELIN Guide reported that the Korean steakhouse serves “top-quality ingredients” and “astutely seasoned dishes” at 3900 NE 2 Ave.

The Miami Spice menu includes three options for the appetizer, 10 options for the entree, and a vanilla soft serve with soy sauce caramel for dessert.
