Suspect dead after shootout that killed Indian River deputy serving eviction, deputies say
A man who opened fire on Indian River County deputies serving an eviction notice — killing one deputy and wounding one other and a locksmith — has died from his injuries, authorities said Saturday.
PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. — Detectives are investigating a car that was in a canal on Friday in Pembroke Pines.
A tow truck was pulling a car that had been in the canal for a while near Pines Boulevard and U.S. 47.
