MIAMI — A Georgia man stands accused on Wednesday of sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy on separate occasions during his vacation in Miami-Dade County, records show.
During forensic interviews on Aug. 14, 2023, the boy and the teenage girl described how Latrell Harris sexually abused them in a car and a hotel room in May 2021, according to a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office detective’s request for an arrest warrant.
“You are 13! Stay in your place,” Harris told the girl when she caught him sexually abusing the 4-year-old boy, according to the arrest warrant.
Miami-Dade deputies arrested Harris, who lives in Columbus, Georgia, on Tuesday on the Oct. 6, 2023 warrant and correctional deputies booked him at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
Court records show Miami-Dade prosecutors had filed a case against Harris on Oct. 6, 2023, on charges of sexual battery on a minor and attempted sexual battery on a minor. A judge denied him bond.
Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Christine Hernandez was set to preside over the case.
etectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 to remain anonymous.
