Police officers investigate a domestic violence shooting in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Police officers responded to a domestic violence shooting on Sunday in Fort Lauderdale.

A man and a woman who are married were arguing at a home along Carolina Avenue, near Delaware Avenue in the Melorse Park neighborhood, police said.

Police officers identified the husband as the shooter and detained him, according to Detective Ali Adamson, a spokeswoman for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.

“No one was injured during this shooting,” Adamson wrote in a statement. “The investigation remains ongoing.”

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 to remain anonymous.
