FBI special agents suspect Wedding, 44, who is 6 feet 3 inches tall and wanted for narcotrafficking and murders, took the selfie last summer in Mexico, where he has the protection of the Sinaloa cartel.

The reward for information leading to Wedding’s arrest increased from $10 million to $15 million, and it’s the highest on the top 10 most-wanted list.

Investigators suspect Wedding was involved in the mistaken-identity murder of a couple, the murder of an informant, and the murder of Jonathan Acebedo Garcia, a witness in the federal case.

Before he could testify, Acebedo Garcia, a Colombian Canadian born in Montreal, was fatally shot in a restaurant at 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 31 at the Mall del Indio in Medellin’s San Diego area, according to authorities in the U.S. and Colombia.

Investigators believe Wedding’s narcotrafficking operation was connected to criminal organizations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Colombia.

FBI director Kash Patel has described Wedding as a “modern-day iteration of Pablo Escobar.”
