Florida anglers can win big during FWC contest

Anglers fishing for bass in the state of Florida can win much more than just a great catch this summer.

Florida Fish and Wildlife has launched TrophyCatch Florida, a program that will reward anglers with up to a $6,000 prize when they catch a largemouth bass with a bright pink tag.

Two trophy-sized bass have been caught across the state, while eight others are yet to be caught. Those pink-tagged fish can still be caught in Collier, Putnam, Volusia, Gadsen Leon, Polk, Highlands, Levy and Citrus Counties.

Each angler that catches and documents their catch can win a $5,000 gift card to Bass Pro Shops through Sept. 30, along with additional prizes.
