OKEECHOBEE COUNTY, Fla. – A Florida elementary school teacher is facing charges, after deputies said she had a sexual relationship with a student.
Okeechobee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Paige Leduc, 26, on Thursday after they said they received a complaint earlier this week that the teacher was having a romantic relationship with a minor.

The school district said the student does not attend the elementary school where Leduc works.
According to a statement released by the school district, the incident was reported to the Department of Children and Families and Leduc has been reassigned to another position without contact with students.
Leduc faces a charge of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
