Florida man faces charges for allegedly hitting pool contractor with a bat

FORT MYERS, Fla. – A Florida man is facing charges after officers say he hit his pool contractor with a bat during an argument.

Officers said Richard Anthony Daniels, 36, got into an argument with the man he hired to build a swimming pool.

Detectives said Daniels asked the contractor to leave his house, but he refused.

Daniels then allegedly knocked the ball cap off the contractor’s head, went inside, got a baseball bat and hit the man in the head.

He now faces an aggravated battery charge with a deadly weapon.
