ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Homeowners in Orange County took the phrase “holding down the fort” literally during their preparations for Hurricane Milton.
Raisa and Pedro Càceres used several ratchets to secure their home before the storm reaches Florida.
Milton has fluctuated in intensity as it approaches Florida but was a strong Category 4 hurricane at midday Wednesday and was expected to remain a major storm when it makes landfall, forecasters said.
