Florida school worker accused of sexual misconduct with student

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – An employee for a Florida school district is facing sex offense charges against a student.

Genesis Zayas, 23, is being accused of sexual misconduct with a student at Island Coast High School in Cape Coral. She was arrested on Tuesday.

The Lee County School District employee faced a judge on Wednesday.

Zayas bond was set at $50,000 and she was later released.
