ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A north Florida family called deputies for help after they found an alligator swimming in their pool.
Deputy Richardson from the Saint John’s Sheriff’s Office responded and used a skimming net to wrangle the gator from the water at the St. Augustine home last week.
Deputy Richardson taped the gator’s snout shut. He opened the back of his cruiser and buckled the gator in the back seat for safety.
He later dropped the gator off in a pond away from residential homes.
