MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Two apex predators were caught on camera in a fight for their lives in the Florida Everglades.
Alison Joslyn was riding her bike in Shark Valley on Friday when she saw an alligator swimming with a giant python in its jaws.
In the fragile Everglades ecosystem, it seems that the snakes can only be stopped by gators and human hunters.
The once-menacing snake did not look so tough anymore after being dragged around the swamp.
Joslyn said it will take a few days for the gator to eat its catch, because its jaws are designed to kill and not chew.
