Man dies after roller coaster ride at Universal Epic Universe, deputies say

ORLANDO, Fla. — A man who was found unresponsive on a ride at Universal Epic Universe has died, according to deputies.

Orange County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Orlando theme park on Wednesday after a man in his 30s was found unresponsive after riding the Stardust Racers roller coaster.

Deputies said the man was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Authorities have not released the man’s identity.

Universal Orlando Resort opened Epic Universe at the end of May.

The 750-acre park features five different worlds including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, Dark Universe and Celestial Park.
