Broward gangs’ investigator lists over $43,000 in undercover drug deals in 3 federal cases

UNDERCOVER DRUG DEALS: An ATF undercover investigator purchased $43,500 in fentanyl from dealers in Miramar, according to a federal complaint.

MIRAMAR, Fla. — A task force officer with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives listed the five undercover drug deals that are part of the pending federal cases against three men in Broward County, records show.

The TFO with ATF, deputized by the U.S. Marshals Service, is a sworn Davie police officer and Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy who works in the Gang Investigations Task Force, records show.

Prosecutors filed the complaints against Sunil Someria, his brother Anand Someria, and the brothers’ alleged employee Richarles Lake on March 19 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, records show.

“The brothers are large distributers of narcotics to include pressed fentanyl pills, powdered fentanyl, pressed Xanax, pressed Adderall, and cocaine,” the TFO with ATF wrote, according to the criminal complaint.

Anand Someria, 23; Sunil Someria, 25; and Lake, 24, were arraigned on Thursday on federal charges of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and conspiracy to distribute fentanyl.

The federal case includes the Miramar Lakes Apartment Complex property management’s July report, a confidential informant’s November tip, evidence of the trio’s alleged crimes from Dec. 6 to March 18, and their arrest on March 19, records show.

Sunil Someria, also known as “Kerm;” Anand Someria, also known as “Nadd” and “Ravi;” and Lake, also known as “OTG Lindo,” operated out of a “trap house” apartment on the first floor of 10747 South Preserve Way in Miramar, according to law enforcement.

“Both Sunil and Anand indicated that they carried firearms for protection during narcotics transactions,” the TFO with ATF wrote, according to the criminal complaint.

Investigators reported seizing a black and gold Glock 43X, a black Smith and Wesson M&P .40 caliber handgun, and a black Glock 19 handgun. The list of drugs seized included more than 78 grams of fentanyl pills, more than 34 grams of MDMA pills, more than 132 grams of Xanax pills, 705 grams of marijuana, and about 40 grams of cocaine.
