Horse rider injured in Southwest Ranches

SOUTHWEST RANCHES, Fla. — A female horse rider was injured on Wednesday in Southwest Ranches, according to the Davie Fire Rescue Department.

Fire-rescue personnel were called to Southwest 148th Avenue, between Southwest 54th Place and East Waterford Drive, near the Sunshine Ranches Equestrian Park.

Rescuers used a helicopter to airlift her to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.
