Deputies investigate fatal crash in Pompano Beach

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies were investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle on Thursday afternoon in Pompano Beach.

There was a person’s body on the road near the 1500 block of West Copans Road. Deputies closed the eastbound lanes of West Copans Road, east of North Powerline Road.

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded at about 5 p.m., and paramedics pronounced a male dead.

According to Gerdy St. Louis, a spokeswoman for BSO, the person who died was riding the motorcycle and the crash remained under investigation on Thursday evening.
