WESTON, Fla. – Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a neighborhood in Weston Tuesday morning in reference to a man who had violated a restraining order, city officials confirmed on social media.
Sky 10 was above the Savanna community on Winterberry Lane at 8:45 a.m. as deputies were searching for the subject on the ground and via a BSO helicopter.

According to city officials, Gator Run Elementary School was placed on lockdown as a precaution during the search.
The suspect has since been taken into custody.
No other details were immediately released.
