Recall affects 1.2 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles

Recall includes some Avalon, Camry, Highlander, RAV4, Sienna, Corolla, ES250, RX350 models

MIAMI – Toyota Motor Co. plans to notify all of the owners of about 1.2 million 2020-2022 Toyota and Lexus vehicles by mid-February that a recall over a faulty airbag system applies to them.

Toyota reported the Takata airbag system may not deploy during some kinds of crashes, so Toyota and Lexus plan to inspect the system’s sensors and replace them if necessary at no cost to owners.

The list of Toyota models in the recall includes the Toyota Avalon, Camry, Highlander, RAV4, Sienna, and Corolla. The list of Lexus models includes the ES250 and the RX350.
