Woman ‘maced’ ex, hit her twice with car, then taunted her by text, Miami-Dade police say

Police: She brought her son along for the crimes

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities formally arrested an already-jailed 37-year-old woman early Christmas morning, one month after they said she used pepper spray on her ex-girlfriend — and her ex’s new girlfriend — then used her car as a weapon in southwest Miami-Dade.

According to an arrest report, the incident happened just after 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 23 at an apartment complex at 18000 SW 107th Ave. in the county’s West Perrine area.

Miami-Dade police said Cutler Bay resident Sharron Wright, who also uses the alias “Camille Perdomo,” dated the victim for about a year and had broken up with her about three months prior.

The report states her ex-girlfriend went with her current girlfriend to a third person’s apartment after Wright told that person to check her doorbell camera and vehicle tires, which were vandalized.

Police said as the pair did this, Wright drove up. Her ex, they said, went up to her in an attempt to “defuse the situation,” at which point Wright “maced her on the face” and began to punch her repeatedly.

According to the report, the woman’s current girlfriend tried to break up the fight but also got pepper-sprayed and beaten. Police said Wright’s young son then got out of her car and began beating up her ex.

Police said witnesses were able to break up the fight and Wright and her son were able to get back in the vehicle, but Wright wasn’t finished quite yet. She’s accused of putting her car in reverse, turning it towards her ex, then “accelerating rapidly” and hitting her in the knees.

Wright then accelerated towards the woman again and hit her, according to police. Police said her ex tried jumping to avoid the vehicle, causing her to be hit in the legs and “flung” towards it, landing face-first on Wright’s hood, the report states.

Police said Wright then sped away, but, minutes later, “began harassing her via text messages mocking them” over the beatings. The arrest report doesn’t specify what Wright allegedly texted her ex.

According to the arrest report, after authorities spent nearly a month looking for Wright, a Miami-Dade corrections officer saw a wanted flyer for Wright and let Miami-Dade police know that she had been booked into jail on Christmas Eve, under her “Camille Perdomo” alias, for an unrelated case.

Wright, who’s still listed in Miami-Dade jail records as “Camille Perdomo,” is facing, among other things, felony charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief, as well as misdemeanor charges of battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

She’s also charged with giving police a false name.

Court records list Wright’s bond at $24,000 as of Tuesday morning.
