Deputies in Tamarac locate missing elderly woman with dementia

Deputies in Tamarac are searching for 81-year-old Linda Self. (WPLG)

TAMARAC, Fla. – Authorities in Broward County were asking for the public’s help in locating a missing elderly woman that has since been found.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit was trying to locate 81-year-old Linda Self.

Deputies said she had last been seen Saturday, Dec. 30, at around 9 a.m., near the 10800 block of West Clairmont Circle in Tamarac.

Self is described as about 5-foot-4, weighing approximately 120 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

According to authorities, she had last been seen wearing a blue and white striped blouse and dark pants.

According to her family, Self suffers from dementia, deputies said.
