Students, family grieve 17-year-old shooting victim in Broward

Slain teenā€™s father: ā€˜If you know anything, come forwardā€™

PLANTATION, Fla. ā€“ There were tears at a school and a park on Tuesday in Broward County.

A teenage boy was killed and three were injured during a shooting on Saturday night in a parking lot outside of Best Buy in Plantation.

Terrance Farrington Jr. was a student and football player at Youth Under Construction, a private school in Pompano Beach. He was 17.

ā€œHe always made me laugh, always been there for me, checking up on me, so it is real crazy what happened,ā€ said student Bryce Simeon.

The teenā€™s grieving father, Terrance Farrington, was at Mitchell Moore Park when he said he went from being in disbelief to feeling devastated.

ā€œHe wanted to learn how to cut hair, go to barber school,ā€ the father said about his first-born son.

Detectives were investigating the shooting.

ā€œIf you know anything come forward because you could be in the same spot that I am in right now,ā€ the grieving father said.

Detectives were asking anyone with information about the case to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
