DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — A Delray Beach woman was arrested after a violent encounter that included her throwing chicken at her son, police said.
Officers said they responded to a disturbance call last Thursday night at an apartment complex off Citation Dr.
They said a man told them that his mother, Michelle Butler, had thrown raw chicken at him.
He said, Butler, 69, then lunged at him with a pair of scissors and cut him on the shin, and that he began to lose a lot of blood.
The victim told police his mother suffers from mental illness and had been drinking.
Butler was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.
She posted $10,000 bond and was released from jail.
