MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — A student was arrested Wednesday after weapons were found on the campus of a high school in Miami-Dade County, officials from the district confirmed.
According to school officials, an anonymous tip was received about a possible weapon on the campus of Miami Carol City Senior High School, which is located at 3301 Miami Gardens Drive in Miami Gardens.
Miami Dade Schools Police was immediately notified and after a “thorough investigation,” they found the weapons and arrested one student, officials said.
“All students and staff are safe,” a spokesperson for the school district said in a statement. “This serves as a reminder about the importance of reporting suspicious activity. Together, we can continue to ensure our schools remain the safest place for children.”
