Police officers surround house in Opa-locka over report of gunman

OPA-LOCKA, Fla. – Officers responded to a home in Opa-locka late Thursday night following reports of a person being barricaded inside.

A large police presence responded to the home located along the 1300 block of Sharazad Boulevard.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units also responded and were there on standby.

The Special Response Team from the Miami-Dade Police Department was also observed at the scene.

Initial reports were that there was an armed, barricaded subject inside the home.

Local 10 News has reached out to authorities and will provide an update when new information is made available.
