Man brought to Lauderhill fire station after being shot

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Police officers are investigating after a man was brought to a fire station suffering from a gunshot wound.

It happened late Tuesday afternoon along the 1900 block of Northwest 56th Avenue in Lauderhill, just west of the Florida Turnpike.

According to Lauderhill police, the victim’s mother rushed her son to the Lauderhill Fire Station 57 for help after he was shot a few blocks away.

Video from Sky 10 showed a green minivan with what appeared to be bullet holes in one of its windows.

Authorities said the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police have not provided any information on possible suspects or persons of interest.

Authorities did not give any information on the victim’s age or identity.
