Cessna crashes in Miami-Dade’s Redland

REDLAND, Fla. – A single-engine Cessna 172 crashed on Saturday afternoon in Miami-Dade County’s Redland area, according to The Federal Aviation Administration

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded shortly after 5:15 p.m., to an area near Southwest 244 Street and 217 Avenue.

The aircraft’s two occupants evacuated without injury, according to fire rescue. One of the men who survived said he wasn’t scared when the plane went down.

According to FlightAware’s tracking data, the aircraft owned by Pan Air Flying Club was set to land at the nearby Homestead Aviation Airport.
