According to her arrest report, the booth was set up inside the M&J Plus LLC convenience store, located at 1543 NW 119th St.

North Miami police said Fuentes-Zavala was the only person inside the booth conducting illegal lottery transactions with multiple customers inside the business.

ā€œThe winning numbers to this illegal lottery are determined by comparing the customerā€™s wagered numbers to future New York, Georgia or even Florida lotteries,ā€ an officer wrote in her arrest report. ā€œCustomers could also wager on sporting events.ā€

Police said an undercover officer placed a $20 bet at the booth and received two printed out lottery tickets from Fuentes-Zavala.

According to the report, the tickets indicated that the picks were for the New York PM and Florida PM lottery drawings.

Officers later conducted a search warrant at the booth and detained Fuentes-Zavala.

Police said a search of the booth turned up illegal lottery tickets, sports betting tickets, a computer running the illegal lottery program, ticket printers, sporting/lottery payout menus and cash.

All items were impounded as evidence.

According to the report, Fuentes-Zavala invoked her rights and was not questioned by detectives.

She was then booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
