HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Detectives were investigating Saturday how a man turned up injured at the emergency room of the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital’s emergency room in Hollywood.

According to Deanna Bettineschi, a spokeswoman for the Hollywood Police Department, the wounded man had been shot.

The driver of a green pickup truck dropped him off and fled near Johnson Street and North 35 Avenue, according to police scanner traffic.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
