MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A 32-year-old man was arrested last week after being accused of sexually abusing a girl multiple times.

According to his arrest warrant, the victim told her parents and a Miami-Dade police officer on March 3 that Javier Solis Acevedo had sexually assaulted her multiple times when she was between the ages of 6 and 8.

The victim is now 13 years old.

According to the warrant, the victim provided a sworn statement to detectives on April 12, claiming that Acevedo had fondled her vagina, and rubbed his penis against her vagina.

Police said detectives had the victim conduct a “controlled call” to Acevedo, at which time he admitted to the allegations.

According to the warrant, Acevedo became aware the next day that the victim had reported the abuse to law enforcement and “threatened to harm himself as he began to flee Miami-Dade County.”

Police said he was found Friday and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a charge of sexual battery on a minor.

As of Monday, he was being held without bond on an immigration hold.
