MIAMI — The Miami Seaquarium has filed a federal lawsuit against Miami-Dade County.

According to a statement released by the Seaquarium, it is “seeking protection for several actions from the Mayor of Miami-Dade County and different people from their office, which we strongly believe violated the civil rights of our company.”

Last week, the county sent an eviction notice to Miami Seqauarium after a previously set deadly to vacate came and went with no action.

The park has remained open and operating as usual.
