“Free him,” his brother Alex Venegas, better known as Flyysoulja, wrote in a plea on TikTok.

On Saturday, Frank Venegas faced charges of reckless driving, false identification given to a law enforcement officer, and operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license. His bond was $800.

Venegas was born in West Palm Beach and gained popularity after the 2021 “I’m An Island Boy” hit. It has over 24 million views on YouTube.

Records show Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Frank Venegas on May 6, 2023, in Pompano Beach for domestic violence.

BSO Deputy Timothy S. Butts reported meeting the battered victim at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale.

“I observed physical marks and bruises on [her] chin, and also on her legs and arms,” Butts wrote about the woman who was the rapper’s live-in girlfriend.

The arrest report listed them as Coral Springs residents and described eight of his tattoos including “Stay Humble,” “Count Your Blessings,” and “Ambition.”

Court records show prosecutors dropped the misdemeanor battery case on May 16, 2023, and Broward County Circuit Judge Deborah Carpenter-Toy was set to preside over the new misdemeanor traffic case.
