CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Soccer fans in South Florida are getting very excited for this weekend’s Copa America Final between Argentina and Colombia.
Outside the Le Méridien hotel in Dania Beach, the most faithful Colombian fans were there to show the team they were with them.
“We deserve this, we’ve been waiting for this, we work this,” one fan said.
Meanwhile, outside the Loews Hotel in Coral Gables, Argentina fans stood, hoping to get a glimpse of the team and of course, Lionel Messi.
The atmosphere there was a little tense.
“Because in Argentina, it’s a religion, this is not simply a game,” said one fan.
The cheapest tickets found by Local 10 News’ Christian De La Rosa for the game, as of late Friday afternoon, were over $2,000 while the average price was around $4,000.
