Police search for missing, endangered woman from northwest Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Police asked for the public’s help Friday in locating a 44-year-old woman who they said has been missing for over three weeks.

According to Miami-Dade police, Shamita Rakey Stewart was last seen on July 2 near the 3200 block of Northwest 79th Street.

Detectives said Steward is considered endangered and “may be in need of services.”

Stewart is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs around 170 pounds, according to detectives.
