Friday night’s jackpot for the Mega Millions drawing has reached an estimated $527 million.
The winning numbers drawn on Tuesday were 5, 20, 26, 49 and 51, plus the gold Mega Ball 24. The estimated jackpot is $527 million with a cash prize of $261.9 million. The cash prize for Friday’s drawing is $461 million.
According to the Mega Millions website, if won at that level, it would be the 13th largest prize in the history of the game.
The last winning Mega Millions ticket was sold on June 4 in Illinois and one on March 26 in New Jersey for a $1.128 billion prize.
Mega Millions tickets cost $2 and are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Drawings are conducted at 11 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesdays and Fridays in Atlanta, Georgia.
The overall odds of winning any Mega Millions prize are 1 in 24; the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.
