MIAMI — Authorities are investigating after apparent human remains were found in a trash chute in downtown Miami Monday morning, according to police.
Police said they responded to the area of Northwest First Avenue and Sixth Street just before 10:20 a.m. “to investigate a reported call of what appeared to be male human remains” inside of the chute.
“Detectives are actively looking into this incident and are furthering their investigation,” Officer Kiara Delva, a Miami Police Department spokesperson, said in an email to Local 10 News.
Authorities said they didn’t have additional details as of late Monday morning.
