Deputies arrest man after Tamarac shooting

TAMARAC, Fla. – A 67-year-old man was at the main jail on Thursday in Fort Lauderdale accused of a shooting in Tamarac.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to North Nob Hill Road Wednesday afternoon in Tamarac’s Southampton neighborhood.

ā€œA preliminary investigation revealed that an adult male fired a shot into a window of a residence,ā€ Carey Codd, a spokesman for the Broward Sheriff’s Office, wrote in a statement Thursday.

Deputies arrested Franklin Goldman, who was facing a charge of shooting into an occupied dwelling.

ā€œNo one was stuck by the gunfire,ā€ Codd wrote.
