MIAMI — Former Major League Baseball superstar Alex Rodriguez is once again helping spread holiday cheer in South Florida.
On Tuesday, Rodriguez’s A-Rod Corp teamed up with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade and held a holiday gift giveaway.
It happened at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s Hank Kline Club in Miami on Tuesday afternoon.
Rodriguez along with members of the A-Rod Corp team were there to hand out the gifts and meet with the kids.
Children between the ages of 5 and 17 received age-appropriate toys.
“I was one of these kids, and there wasn’t a lot presents under my tree when I was 10, 11, 12 years old, so the fact they all walk away with a nice gift, something they feel proud and ownership, that’s winning,” said Rodriguez.
