LAUDERHILL, Fla. — Lauderhill police are investigating after a woman was injured in a shooting.
It happened around 7 p.m. Monday along Northwest 54th Avenue.
According to police, a group of teenagers arrived at the scene looking to start a fight with residents who were already there.
At some point, police said someone pulled out a gun and opened fire, striking a woman.
Police said the victim was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
An investigation is ongoing regarding who fired the gun and a motive behind the shooting.
