Man accused of sexually abusing a minor in Broward

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A 42-year-old man appeared in Broward County court on Thursday accused of sexually abusing a minor.

County inmate records show deputies arrested Junior Balthazard on Wednesday and corrections booked him at the main jail in Fort Lauderdale.

Court records show a judge had issued a warrant for Balthazard’s arrest in July and the Plantations Police Department was the filing agency.

Balthazard is facing four first-degree felony charges for the sexual battery of the minor.
