MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A City of Miami police officer was involved in a shooting Wednesday night at an apartment complex in west Miami-Dade, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Local 10.
According to MDSO, the officer was part of a multi-agency task force that was conducting a “proactive detail” at 9599 Fontainebleau Blvd.
Further details about the investigation and circumstances leading up to the shooting were not immediately released.
MDSO confirmed that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the shooting.
