MIAMI — A woman was rushed to a hospital late Monday night after she was struck by a car while riding her motor scooter in Miami, authorities confirmed.
According to Miami police, the hit-and-run crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the area of Northeast Fifth Court and 79th Street.
Police said two people who were inside the car that struck the scooter fled the scene on foot after the crash.
The woman who was driving the scooter was transported by Miami Fire Rescue to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.
Anyone with information about those who fled from the car is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
