MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies are investigating after they said a body was found floating in the Miami River Canal Wednesday morning.
Sky 10 was over the scene just before 11 a.m., where medics were surrounding a body that was covered in a yellow tarp.
The river is located near Northwest 28th Street and South River Drive.
Authorities said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area for what was initially reported as a possible drowning.
No additional details about the victim or how or she ended up in the river were immediately released.
