Alexandra Padilla, the man’s lover, grabbed a knife from a table in the kitchen and held it against the woman’s chest “in a defensive position,” but neither of them was injured, according to police.

“Get off my boyfriend,” a woman shouted before Padilla bit her, and the two started fighting, according to a North Miami Beach police officer’s arrest report.

Records show police officers arrested Padilla at about 5:55 a.m., at the apartment building at Northeast 170 Street and 22 Avenue, in North Miami Beach, and correctional deputies booked her at about 8:35 a.m., at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Records show Padilla, who was born in Honduras, faced charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery. She appeared in Miami-Dade County court on Monday and a judge ordered her to stay away from the victim and set her bond at $6,000.
