Shortly before 1 p.m., deputies surrounded Priced Right Motors, Inc., a used car dealer at 7321 SW 45 St. Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz later said 3 were shot, including the gunman.

Since IDOL Cheer, at 7310 SW 45 St., was within the crime scene area under investigation, deputies set up a reunification center nearby at 7391 SW 44 St.

There was a massive law enforcement response. Deputies temporarily closed a neighboring area of Bird Road and Miller Drive near the Palmetto Expressway.

The area is also home to the Lawnmowers R US, a store for businesses; Hitting .365, a batting cage center; and All Purpose Training, a members-only gym.

Rosie Riguero said she was in a store at her desk working when she saw deputies take over the area at Southwest 72 Avenue and 48 Street.

“We started shutting all our doors, telling our clients -- our store was full of clients -- ‘Please do not go outside!’ People got nervous,” Riguero said.

Deputies evacuated the warehouse. Men walked out with their arms raised and sat on the grass as deputies stood guard. Detectives questioned witnesses.
