Little 2-year-old Keilanys Guayapero had fallen in the pool and was lifeless after one minute and eight seconds in the water.

The girl’s father jumped in and 911 was called.

When Doral police arrived, bystanders told the officers the little girl had no pulse and that she wasn’t going to make it.

“When these officers arrived, several passersby said, ‘Don’t even attempt to save the baby’s life,’” said Doral Police Chief Edwin Lopez.

Officer Yisabella Valdes started performing CPR on young Keilanys.

With every chest compression, Valdes was praying for the child to take a breath.

Suddenly, the baby gasped.

Valdes handed the baby off to rescue workers who continued life-saving measures.

The girl would survive, and on Tuesday, she was reunited with the officers who saved her life.

Keillanis and Valdes will have a bond that will last a lifetime.
