FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A case of tuberculosis has been reported at a Broward County high school.
The principal of Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale sent a letter out on Tuesday saying the individual with tuberculosis, or TB, had recently been on campus.
Those who were in close contact with the individual were individually notified, the letter stated.
No further action is needed by anyone who is not directly contacted, it said.
A spokesperson for the school district confirmed that the Florida Department of Health in Broward County would be on campus to provide testing to those with parental consent.
