MIAMI – A Miami barbershop owner was arrested Wednesday on multiple drug charges, authorities confirmed.

According to three separate arrest reports from the City of Miami Police Department, Stanley Gabot, 57, is the owner of Fresh Kut Barbershop, located at 5912 NE Second Ave.
Police said an undercover agent went to the business on March 11 and gave Gabot $20 in exchange for four loose pieces of suspected rock cocaine, which Gabot retrieved from a black bag in the lower area of his barber station.
According to an arrest report, the drugs tested positive for cocaine in the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office lab.
Police said an undercover agent went to Gabot’s business again on April 23 and gave him $20 in exchange for two loose pieces of suspected rock cocaine.
Once again, the drugs tested positive for cocaine, authorities said.
According to police, a search warrant was executed at Gabot’s business on Wednesday, but he was not there.
During the search of the barbershop, authorities said they found pictures of Gabot, his family and several barber certificates in his name at his barber station, along with multiple digital scales, 21.1 grams of suspected powder cocaine, 5 grams of suspected rock cocaine and 44.2 grams of suspected marijuana.
Police said employees working at the time confirmed that Gabot was the only person to use his barber station.
An unloaded Ruger 9 mm gun was found in a separate locked barber station, authorities confirmed.
Gabot was found later that day and was arrested on charges of possession of rock cocaine with the intent to sell, possession of rock cocaine with the purpose of trafficking and possession of marijuana with the intent to sell.
As of Thursday morning, he was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where his bond was listed in online jail records as “to be set.”
