Deputies search for missing Pompano Beach man with diabetes, partial hearing loss

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit asked for the public’s help Wednesday in locating a missing 73-year-old man.

According to detectives, Carlos Manuel Colon was last seen around 9 a.m. on Tuesday in the 200 block of Northeast 23rd Street in Pompano Beach.

Colon suffers from partial hearing loss and diabetes, and uses an electric scooter to get around, his family says.

Colon is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds, authorities said.

They said he has grey hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black shirt, red pants and white sneakers.
